Our approach at Elite Performance is fundamentally different from most physical therapy practices. We view the body as a whole unit and do not believe in specializing in treating one body part.   We are specialists in treating the entire body, including; the brain, spinal cord, organs, muscles, tendons, joints, arteries, nerves, veins, and the lymph.  Essentially, any part of the body that is restricted can impair your movement or cause pain.   All parts of our bodies are interconnected and when one part is not moving correctly, the compensations can be far reaching.

We view the body as a series of resistances.   Imagine the body as an intricate pattern of various springs with different lengths and strengths. The body possesses an amazing innate ability to compensate.  Often times, when a pain appears without the presence of trauma, it is due to the body’s inability to further compensate.  Typically pain will develop due to most flexible part moving too much due to compensation over time. For example, after an ankle sprain long ago, the structures healed, but actually they healed stiff and jammed.   The pain has been gone for a long time, but stiffness remains.  This remaining stiffness leads to compensation.  Typically, this may occur at the knee or hip, but can as far reaching as the neck or head depending on the circumstances.

We have developed a unique system of assessment that precisely identifies the underlying root problem of your condition or lack of optimal performance.  You will be taken through a movement examination and a very detailed and precise examination of the movement quality of your body by feeling your joints and muscles through diagnostics.  We have a deeper understanding of how the effects and impacts of old injury and/or scar tissue can have on the body and movement.    We have developed our own hands-on techniques that are precise and effective to address areas that are scarred and stiff.

Through the identification of these underlying deeper issues or the resistance, we facilitate and optimize healing and performance.  Essentially, we identify the “parking brake” that you have been moving around with for years.

If you are searching for an approach that optimizes healing and performance and would like to disengage your “parking brake”, please call or use the contact page on the website.
